We have provided professional development for teachers at our school and at Iteach/Ilearn locations. Many of our teachers have participated in these classes. The classes included: Iteach, Ilearn for all grades and subjects, and various ongoing training, including Iteractive White Board and Echalk.

The professional development program classes offerred at I.S. 223 gave me the opportunity to change the way I deliver my lesson. Now, I find that my students are more involved.
The technology pd's that I have taken have greatly enhanced my ability to effectively use technology in the classroom. I still have more to learn but I have learned a lot over the past year.

The iteach ilearn professional development program has empowered the art department to deliver art lessons in a new and innovative way. It has helped us to present the children with visual art images as a group that they would not have been able to see. This has prompted critiques and conversations about their art and the work of others on a level that could not have been reached by viewing illustrations in books. Through the use of the smartboard students are able to express their ideas visually as well as verbally. Through access to these computers we have been able to introduce students to a new range of art mediums including graphic design, animation, and film making. - Emily & Jason

The PD program at IS 223 has been a great help for both myself and my students. It has given me an opportunity to present my lessons in a variety of ways, this helps my students with different learning styles to achieve their goals
The professional development at Montauk has been very enlightening and has thrusted us into the smart board revolution. I find that my lessons, although wonderful before are a bit better now.

The professional development classes have assisted me in developing lessons that are motivating and engaging for all my students. The use of technology in all subject areas makes learning more enjoyable not only for our students but for our teachers as well. The practice of using various teaching strategies have allowed us to differentiate our instruction which enhanced our students learning potential.

The professional development classes have given me another approach to teaching my students. It allows for more interactive lessons. Any day they do not see that smartboard ready to go, they ask for it. They are having fun.
The professional development program is very useful. It gives me the oppotunity to improve my lessons and ways of teaching. I would like to get more classes. Mr.Sorroco was and is very helpful.
The professional developments offered at IS 223 have been very beneficial for my classroom lessons. It has enabled me to have my students become more involved in the lessons.
The P.D. classes have given me the knowledge and the ability to offer my students various types of instruction with the use of technology. The students absorb technological instruction very rapidly and look forward to learning when the the instruction is visual and hands-on. I believe that P.D. will prove to be invaluable to my students and the digital world into which they are embarking.
